This project is part of the Continuity In Architecture Atelier at the Manchester School of Architecture. CiA looks to actively pursue a future for the already built. A search for an alternative to the expected redevelopment of towns, cities, places, landscapes, buildings and interiors is grounded in the theories of contextualism.

This project is a housing scheme in the centre of Accrington. The design takes a new approach to housing within the town, with an emphasis on eco and sustainable design. The design has a mixture of two bedroom flats, three bedroom duplexes and a communal six bed flat. The scheme appeals to a wide target audience to promote housing with a divers demographic.
